March 2026Margerison Road, Ben Rhydding, Ilkley
This was a fabulous project to flex our creative design skills on. The property is a large Victorian building situated in the residential area of Ben Rhydding. The clients came to us at Thomas Darcey after falling in love with the Mornington Range kitchen style (as featured in our showroom) and they decided to choose the range in the custom shade of Regents Green for their kitchen renovation.
The property had been empty for a couple years before the clients bought it with a view to fully renovate the interior bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living spaces. We fully replaced the windows in the property, giving a contemporary feel and adding better insulation throughout. The large kitchen area of 8 metres by 5 metres housed a large kitchen island with an integrated sink feature and utilised the owners previous Oak kitchen table which we integrated onto the end of the kitchen island for a high dining area.
The clients chose the antique glass to sit behind the contemporary stove area which provided an enhanced sophisticated element to the overall design. The added double doors to the external area of the property allowed more light into the room and enhanced the outside in nature of the project.
