College Drive, Ilkley

We had the pleasure of transforming the space of this beautiful four storey house in Ilkley. The kitchen in this house was on the lower ground floor with spectacular views over the valley.

The original kitchen was formed to the left side of the square shaped room and the client wanted to incorporate more storage space and a large American style fridge within the new design. After a design consultation in our showroom, the client fell in love with the Shaker Style Mornington range and chose the finish in Porcelain white to keep a light and airy feel in the downstairs position. The clients had a busy family life and needed a function yet luxury space that suited family life and as a place to cook together and entertain.

As a part of the project, we took up the old tiled flooring and worked in conjunction with the underfloor heating company and flooring company to install the new wooden flooring which complimented the Shaker style cabinets perfectly. The entire kitchen needed electrical rewiring and new lighting installed.

The clients loved the antique glass finish behind the stove that we have on display in our showroom, so we brought that finish into their new kitchen. The design featured a double Belfast sink unit with polished brass taps. The wood flooring complimented the wooden drawer inserts and the under shelving accent lighting provided a warm and luxurious feel for cooking in the evening. Open wooden shelving to either side of the main stove area gave a contemporary, minimal feel to this space and provided an area to display kitchen ingredients, plants and artwork.
