Kitchen Renovation in Victorian Property

This kitchen renovation was a delightful project for us to work on in this well loved beautiful, Victorian property in Ben Rhydding, Ilkley. Their previous kitchen had been well used for a family of six but was in need of some TLC and renovation. The clients wanted to change their previous gas stove to an electric induction hob & oven area, which we moved from the left side to the right and designed storage around this larger central feature. The American style fridge freezer was incorporated into the cabinets on the right side including space for pantry cupboards.

On the left, after entering the kitchen, we created a glass fronted drinks cabinet area, added ambient lighting within the shelving and under the cabinets next to the drinks area, giving the kitchen warmth and light whilst cooking in the evenings. We replaced the sink area with a double Belfast ceramic white sink and the tap to a brushed brass, rather than the previous steel finish which complemented the brass cabinet handles and added to the overall warmth and luxury of the finish. The high dining area remained in the same configuration as previously and the split surface of natural wood next to the newly installed white quartz worksurface, uplifted the entire space and created more light and spaciousness into the whole room.
